'Let Them Eat Steak' for Beef & Brew
Better Letters worked with Utile Studio to create two custom mural artworks for restaurant Beef & Brew.
Beef & Brew is a new restaurant in London’s Kentish Town, offering delicious cuts and craft beers at more affordable prices than the majority of steak diners. They commissioned Better Letters to create some wall pieces as part of their interior design. These included an original artwork, featuring a ‘steak cake’, a play on the infamous ‘Let them eat cake‘ line. This, and a beef cuts piece, were then painted on the plaster walls with a ‘ghosted’ appearance.
The work was carried out by Harry Fieber of Utile Studio, inspired by the brief from Beef & Brew’s Daniel Nathan, with the vision of interior designer Ashley Scarborough. Photography by A.J. Levy.
