Letterheads News

We're now just over six weeks away from Letterheads per L'Horta in the picturesque surrounds of Almàssera, València, Spain. The event has evolved into a very international affair, and if you're feeling impulsive, the dates are 1–4 May.

There are also workshops happening in parallel to the main event.

Workshops and open activities at Letterheads per L'Horta.
I'm putting the finishing touches to BLAG Meet: Inside Issue 06 on Saturday, 26 April and, as ever, it promises to be a packed online session with some wonderful speakers. It's free to register via bl.ag/meet.

Also, looking further ahead, save the dates for Burds of the Brush Berlin, 5–7 September 2025. Follow the dedicated instagram @burdsofthebrush for updates, and check out the report from last year's Bristol edition.

Burds of the Brush Berlin is the fourth annual event in this series. Check out Rachel E Millar's reflections on hosting the first in 2022.
If you like to really plan for the long-term, then the Amsterdam Signpainters have committed to another meet there, 28–30 August 2026. Here's my write-up of their 2016 event.

Workshops Update

Having just wrapped up his latest home fixture in Chester, Iowa, Mike Meyer's attention is now cast towards his forthcoming European tour. This will be his first trip across 'the pond' since 2019, and you can catch him on tour in Belfast, Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Milan, Nottingham, Prague, and Valence (sold out).

Just some of the stops on Mike Meyer's forthcoming European workshops tour.

As always, there are recurring workshops listed on the page at bl.ag/learn, and here is just a selection of forthcoming events:

Time for Talks

If your appetite was whetted by the Beverly Sign Co. feature in BLAG 06, then you'll want to sign up for this talk (online and in-person) from the book's authors Kelsey and Andrew McClellan: The Golden Era of Sign Design.

Spread from the Beverly Sign Co. feature in BLAG 06. Learn more in the talk at the American Sign Museum on 3 April.

Here are some more talks, which are happily all available to online audiences:

That's a wrap for this latest worldwide events roundup. As always, please send details of your own and others' events to sam@bl.ag.
